Watermelons and Kiwi Self Striping Sock Yarn
Availability
Let summer reign all year when you make these socks!
Yummy Watermelons and Kiwis! Have you noticed that I am addicted to food! Now I can wear it on my feet and you can too!
Brilliant colors, self striping and best yet- hand-dyed sock yarn is here to rock your..well socks off. I couldn't help myself!
These wonderful socks were hand dyed by a wonderful artist in Colorado. Aside from her store, Darn Good Yarn is the only other store carrying this fantastic colorway. The socks are, of course, dyed with professional grade dyes that will not fade or bleed.
The yarn is dyed so when knitted up, it looks like either a watermelon (that's the one with the reddish hue) or a kiwi (that's the one with the green influence). And just look at the cute rinds and seeds.
There are 460 yards of this super-soft yarn. Fiber content is 75% superwash wool, 25% nylon. Gauge is 7-8 sts = 1" on #1-3 needles. It is considered fingering weight. And you only need one skein to make two "normal" size socks... you might need more than one skein if you're knitting for Snuffleupagus!
Care instructions are machine wash, tumble dry low.
